The neighbourhood of South Bay is part of the city of Saint John, New Brunswick, which is situated in the Greater Saint John metropolitan area.

Transportation

South Bay is especially car friendly. Finding a place to park is generally easy. On the other hand, commuting by public transit is difficult in South Bay. Nonetheless, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most properties. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not very suitable for people who prefer to travel on foot since running day-to-day errands is very challenging without a vehicle. South Bay is also not very appropriate for cycling because the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there is a significant amount of slopes.
