Transportation

Driving is very often the best way to get around in this part of Oshawa. Most real estate listings are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is especially convenient to park. In contrast, getting around by transit can be difficult in this part of the city by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Walking is not very popular in Farewell, even though many daily errands can be run without a car. In contrast, the bicycle is a reasonably good method of transportation in Farewell.

The nearest grocery store in Farewell is generally only a long trip away. Likewise, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a small selection of coffee shops can be found as well. Character

One of the highlights of Farewell is its wide variety of green spaces.
