Located in the Greater Sudbury metropolitan area, Blezard Valley is a community within Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

Transportation

The car is usually the favoured means of transportation in this part of the city. It is very convenient to park. In contrast, Blezard Valley is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the community is linked by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close by. This community is not very convenient for pedestrians since very few daily needs can be met without a vehicle. Even though cyclists do not encounter serious elevation changes, the bicycle is a somewhat poor means of transportation in Blezard Valley as the cycling network is not very comprehensive.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this community. In addition, daycares are not numerous and thus not always within walking distance. With respect to food, it is very easy to access the nearest supermarket by foot from any location in Blezard Valley. Residents of this community are served by a few restaurants as well.

Character

Blezard Valley is a very good community to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. This part of Greater Sudbury is very quiet, as the streets are very calm. Lastly, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to enjoy, making them easy to get to.

Housing

Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in Blezard Valley. This community is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 85% of the units in Blezard Valley while the remainder are rented. About 30% of properties in this community were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1990s.
