The community of Pleasant Valley is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the best way to get around in Pleasant Valley. Finding a place to park is generally easy. It is very challenging for people walking to navigate this part of the municipality because almost no common errands can be run without a car. Pleasant Valley is also not very conducive to cycling since the bicycling infrastructure is not very well-developed, and there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave.

Services

Pleasant Valley does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, parents and their schoolchildren may find it very hard to reach daycares by walking. With respect to food, house buyers in Pleasant Valley almost always have to rely on a car to do their groceries.

Character

Pleasant Valley is a very good community to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Pleasant Valley is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very tranquil.
