The community of Big Ridge can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Big Ridge. It is very convenient to park. It is very challenging for people walking to move around in this part of the municipality because most daily needs are almost impossible to meet without a vehicle. Big Ridge is also not very bike-friendly as the cycling network is not very well-developed, and there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave.

Services

Buying one's groceries usually requires the use of a car in Big Ridge. Concerning education, this area does not have any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, families may find it very hard for their children to get to daycares without a car.
