Lower Cowan Heights is a neighbourhood within St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, which is located in the Greater St. John's metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the best way to get around in Lower Cowan Heights. It is very convenient to access a parking spot, and it is a very short drive to the closest highway from any home in this part of the city. In contrast, Lower Cowan Heights is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, homeowners benefit from approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are generally around the corner. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not especially well-suited for pedestrians because few day-to-day errands can be run without a car. This part of St. John's is also not particularly appropriate for bicycling since riding is made strenuous by the often sloping area, and there are a limited number of bike lanes.

Services

A grocery store is usually reachable within a reasonably short trip from most houses for sale in this part of the city.
