The neighbourhood of Bayridge is part of the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent mode of transportation in Bayridge. It is very convenient to come across a place to park, and nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to access from any home in Bayridge. However, this part of West Vancouver is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually around the corner. It is impractical for pedestrians to move around in this part of West Vancouver as very few daily needs can be met without a car. It is also challenging to commute by bike in Bayridge as the cycling network is rather poor, and bike riders are faced with a significant amount of elevation changes.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to access primary schools and daycares from most properties for sale in this part of the municipality. In contrast, there are no high schools in Bayridge. Concerning eating, purchasing one's groceries often necessitates the use of a car in this neighbourhood.

Character

Bayridge offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This part of West Vancouver is reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case closer to the railway line or Trans-Canada Highway. Finally, getting to green spaces, like McKechnie Park and Cypress Falls Park, is easy from a large number of locations in the neighbourhood since there are about 10 of them close by for residents to enjoy.

Housing

Around 45% of properties in Bayridge were built between 1960 and 1980, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960. Single detached homes and townhouses are the main housing type in this neighbourhood. Roughly 80% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while renters occupy the remainder. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this neighbourhood.
