Eastview

Situated within the Greater Regina metropolitan area, Eastview is a neighbourhood within Regina, Saskatchewan.

Transportation

Traveling as a pedestrian is reasonably convenient for residents in Eastview; meeting daily needs is easy without a vehicle, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Commuting by bicycle is also easy in this part of the city because it is an even ride to most locations. Cars are an excellent mode of transportation in this part of Regina. The majority of homes for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and it is very convenient to find a place to park. On the other hand, getting around by transit can be difficult in this part of the city as a result of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties.

Services

It is a very short stroll to access daycares from most homes for sale in Eastview. However, there are no primary schools and no high schools in this neighbourhood. With respect to eating, it is difficult to access the closest supermarket without a car from any home in Eastview. Additionally, this neighbourhood is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe. It is also a reasonably short stroll to a decent choice of clothing stores.

Character

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Eastview is a good option. Most areas in Eastview are very quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. However, public green spaces are especially well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to enjoy, making it easy to access them. Finally, even though the atmosphere is not the most lively in this part of Regina with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is occasionally challenging to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located relatively close by.

Housing

Around one third of homes in Eastview were constructed pre-1960, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s. Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about 70% of dwellings in this part of the city, while duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Homeowners occupy around two thirds of the units in Eastview and the rest are rented. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
