Saint-Hubert

Part of the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, Saint-Hubert is a borough within Longueuil, Quebec.

Transportation

It is convenient to get around by bicycle in Saint-Hubert as it is a flat ride to most locations, and there are a fair number of bike lanes. Saint-Hubert is also well-suited for those who prefer to travel by foot; many daily needs can be met without a vehicle. This borough is not an especially pleasant part of Longueuil for getting around by public transit. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from the Gare Longueuil-Saint-Hubert and Gare Saint-Bruno with access to the 13 - Mont-Saint-Hilaire. The borough is linked by over 100 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close by. On the other hand, cars are a very good transportation option in Saint-Hubert. Many real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Autoroute de l'Acier, and coming across a parking spot is easy.

Services

It is easy to access the closest grocery store as a pedestrian from most homes for sale in Saint-Hubert. In addition, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, for example on Grande Allée, and property owners benefit from approximately 10 cafes as well. As far as education is concerned, schools and daycares are easy to reach without a vehicle from most properties for sale in Saint-Hubert.

Character

People who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Saint-Hubert. Greenery is not especially present in this area; more specifically, residents will find that the majority of streets have below average tree coverage. However, there are over 150 public green spaces close by for residents to explore, like Parc Rosanne-Laflamme and Réserve naturelle du Ruisseau-Robert, and they are very well-situated, making it easy to access them. This part of the city is also reasonably good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as the streets tend to be peaceful - although that is not the case closer to one of the 2 airports (Héliport de St-Hubert,Aéroport de St-Hubert), the railway line or Autoroute de l'Acier.

Housing

In Saint-Hubert, around half of dwellings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This part of the city is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 70% of the units in the borough are occupied by homeowners and 30% are rented. About one third of homes in this area were built between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 2000s.
