Transportation

Sector T permits homeowners to move around by several modes of transportation. The transit system in this part of Brossard is good thanks to Panama with access to the Gare Centrale - Brossard, and over 50 nearby bus lines. On the other hand, traveling as a pedestrian in sector T is not very common, despite the fact that meeting daily needs is convenient without the need for a vehicle. Cycling is convenient in sector T since there are few elevation changes to confront cyclists, and there are a good number of bike lanes. The preferred approach to get around in this part of Brossard is very often driving. It is easy to come across a place to park, and many real estate listings are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est.

Services

It is easy to access the closest supermarket as a pedestrian in sector T. Likewise, there are a good number of options in close proximity for those who value restaurants and cafes. As far as education is concerned, in sector T, parents and their schoolchildren will generally be able to reach primary schools and daycares by walking. However, high schools are not especially numerous and therefore not always within a short distance.

Character

Sector T offers a reasonably good selection of green spaces to enjoy. To be more specific, access to parks from many locations in the neighbourhood, including Parc de la Terre and Parc écologique des Sansonnets, is easy since there are about 30 of them close by for residents to discover. At the same time, a large number of streets have sub-par tree coverage. This area is relatively quiet, due to the presence of few people out and about on the streets; however there can be more noise for those who are around Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est or Autoroute René-Lévesque.

Housing

Roughly three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while the rest are renters. In this part of Brossard, about half of dwellings are single detached homes, while the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. Most of the housing growth in this area occurred between 1960 and 1980. This part of the city is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
