The neighbourhood of sector V can be found in the city of Brossard, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is very often the preferred transportation option in this part of Brossard. Nearby highways, such as Autoroute René-Lévesque, are very easy to reach from any home in sector V, and it is convenient to park. However, public transit users may experience limited choices in this part of Brossard by reason of the infrequent service. Thankfully, there are approximately 30 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Walking is not very popular in this neighbourhood, even though many daily errands can be run without a car. However, it is easy to commute by bicycle in sector V as there are a good number of bike lanes, and there are a limited number of slopes for cyclists to brave.

Services

A supermarket is usually accessible within an extended stroll from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood. Moreover, sector V is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat. With respect to education, families will welcome the proximity to daycares and primary schools, which are within walking distance from most, if not all, houses for sale in this area. However, there are no high schools in sector V.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy sector V. The greenery in this neighbourhood is quite prominent as the tree canopy coverage for a large number of streets is good. There are approximately 30 green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, including Refuge d'oiseaux migrateurs des Îles-de-la-Couvée and Parc de la Terre, and they are especially well-spread out, which makes it easy to access them from many locations in the neighbourhood. This part of the city is also fairly good for those who need quiet areas, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to Autoroute René-Lévesque or Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est.

Housing

In sector V, roughly half of buildings are single detached homes, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings. A majority of the housing growth in this part of Brossard took place between 1960 and 1980. This part of Brossard also has a good selection of unit sizes - it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Roughly two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder.
