Sector I is a neighbourhood within Brossard, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Sector I will please homeowners that use several methods of transportation. Owing to around 30 nearby bus lines, this neighbourhood features a reasonably good transit network. However, getting around as a pedestrian in sector I is not very popular, although many common errands can be run without needing a vehicle. Sector I is rather appropriate for bicycling as there are a good number of bike lanes, and it is a flat ride to most locations. The car is usually the preferred way to navigate this neighbourhood. It is very easy to park, and most of the street infrastructure is conducive to driving.

Services

Daycares are very easy to access as a pedestrian from anywhere in sector I. In contrast, this part of Brossard does not have any primary schools or high schools. With regards to food, it is especially convenient to get to the closest supermarket by foot from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood. Likewise, sector I is a good place in which to eat out. It is also convenient to reach a variety of clothing stores on foot.

Character

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in sector I. More specifically, there are about 20 parks close by for residents to discover, like Parc Illinois and Parc Émilie-Gamelin, and they are very well-spread out, making them easy to reach from the majority of locations within this area. At the same time, most streets have bad tree coverage. As there are few people out and about on the streets, this part of the city remains relatively quiet, although those who are near the railway line may experience higher levels of noise.

Housing

Homeowners occupy about two thirds of the properties in sector I and the rest are rented. In this area, about two thirds of dwellings are small apartment buildings, whereas the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. This part of Brossard experienced its biggest construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available homes are from this era. This area offers mainly one bedroom and two bedroom homes.
