Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Syme is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

This part of Toronto provides house buyers with the choice between a diversity of methods of transportation. Syme is very transit friendly owing to approximately 10 nearby bus lines. Walking is also rather practical for residents in this neighbourhood; many common errands can be run without needing a car, and there are also a good number of businesses in proximity. This neighbourhood is moderately conducive to cycling because the bicycling network is fairly comprehensive.

Services

It is very convenient to get to both a general and a specialty grocery store without the need for a vehicle from most properties for sale in this part of Toronto. Moreover, with about 40 restaurants and a few cafes, Syme is a very good area in which to go out to eat, for example on Jane Street. It is also very easy to reach a variety of clothing stores on foot. Concerning education, daycares and schools are very easy to get to without a car from anywhere in Syme.

Character

Syme has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Most areas in Syme are reasonably quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. On the other hand, there is a good amount of greenery in this part of the city; it is very easy to reach green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to enjoy. In addition, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is fairly good. Finally, although the atmosphere is not the most lively in this part of the city, its busier streets are still quite energetic, and with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located a short walk away.

Housing
