Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, High Park is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

No matter the means of transportation, it is very easy to move around in this area. High Park has great public transit access thanks to many nearby rapid transit stations on the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and around 20 nearby bus lines. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also very conducive to people who prefer to get around on foot; most daily needs are very easy to meet without the need to get in a vehicle, and various businesses are moderately close at hand. This part of Toronto will appeal to physically active house buyers since it is very suitable for biking. In particular, there is generally a bike-share station nearby, the topography is mostly flat, and High Park features good bicycling infrastructure.

On the other hand, the greenery in this part of Toronto is very prominent; there are around 40 public green spaces nearby for residents to visit, including High Park and Budapest Park, and they are especially well-spread out, making them very easy to reach. In addition, residents will find that a large number of streets have wonderful tree coverage.

Housing

Large apartment buildings are the main housing type, representing about 55% of buildings in High Park, while single detached homes make up most of the remaining housing stock. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period.
