Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is fairly simple to move around in Glen Park East. It is easy for pedestrians to get around in this neighbourhood; all daily errands can be run without the use of a car, and there are also a fair number of businesses nearby. Glen Park East is also cycling-friendly. Thanks to a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Line 1 (Yonge-University), and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, the very good transit service makes transit a viable option for many. Glen Park East is also rather car friendly. Most properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Allen Expressway.

Services

It is a very short distance to reach schools and daycares from any location in this part of Toronto. When it comes to food, house buyers in this area will be pleased to learn that a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short distance away. Moreover, there are over 50 restaurants and approximately 10 cafes to enjoy in this part of the city. It is also a short stroll to a very good choice of clothing stores.

Character

Glen Park East is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this area. The noise levels in Glen Park East are quite low, as the streets are generally tranquil, although there are still several noisier sections, especially near Allen Expressway. On the other hand, the greenery in this area is very prominent as there are numerous tree-lined streets. It is very easy to get to green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to enjoy. Finally, although this part of the city is not known for its lively atmosphere, its busier streets can still be quite energetic, and with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is occasionally challenging to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located relatively close by.

Housing
