Transportation

Centennial Park enables homeowners to get around by different methods of transportation. The best method to get around in this neighbourhood is usually a car. Nearby highways, such as Highway 427, are especially easy to reach from any home in this neighbourhood, and it is easy to park. The transit service in Centennial Park is also good. More precisely, there are a multitude of rapid transit stations on the Meadowvale Express. Property owners are served by approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Commuting by bicycle is convenient in Centennial Park because there are few elevation changes to challenge cyclists. In contrast, there are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this part of the city, although many daily needs can be met without a car.

Services

A grocery store is typically reachable within a short distance from anywhere in Centennial Park. Moreover, there are a good number of opportunities for those who care about nearby restaurants and cafes. It is also a rather short trip to a decent selection of clothing stores. As far as education is concerned, in this part of the city, families will generally be able to reach daycares and schools as pedestrians.

Character

There is a very good selection of green spaces in Centennial Park. To be more specific, there are over 50 parks close by for residents to visit, like Centennial Park and Garnetwood Park, making them very easy to reach from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood. Finally, a large number of parts of this neighbourhood are very serene and quiet, but some other sections can be noisy, especially around Highway 427.

Housing

Centennial Park experienced its largest building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this era. In this part of the city, roughly half of dwellings are large apartment buildings, but single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. Around three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented. This part of Toronto offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
