East End is a neighbourhood within Thunder Bay, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Thunder Bay metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a reasonably good mode of transportation in East End. Accessing a place to park is generally easy. However, the public transit infrastructure in East End is fairly poor. Thankfully, residents are served by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. East End will draw active people because it is moderately suitable for cycling. More specifically, there are not many hills to challenge cyclists. Walking is not very convenient for residents in this part of Thunder Bay because few common errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

It is rarely practical for home buyers in East End to purchase their groceries without the need to get in a car. Likewise, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a limited number of coffee shops is available as well. It is also a rather short trip to a decent variety of clothing stores. In terms of education, parents and their children will value that wherever their home is situated in East End, primary schools and daycares are close by. However, there are no high schools in East End.

Character

East End offers a slower-paced ambience. The noise levels in East End are low, as the streets tend to be quite calm - although there are still several louder sections, especially near the railway line.

Housing
