Part of United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Apple Hill is a community within North Glengarry, Ontario.

Transportation

The car is usually the favoured method to navigate Apple Hill. It is especially convenient to park. Apple Hill is not very conducive to people who like to travel by foot as many daily needs are challenging to carry out without a car. The bike is a fairly poor method of transportation in this part of North Glengarry because the cycling network is quite bad. Nonetheless, bicycling is facilitated by the generally flat terrain.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Apple Hill. Additionally, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long trip away. In terms of eating, property owners in Apple Hill almost always need a vehicle to reach the closest supermarket.

Character

Apple Hill is an excellent community to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. Apple Hill is very quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

Housing

Single detached homes and row houses are the predominant housing type in Apple Hill. This area also has quite a good variety of unit sizes - there is a higher proportion of three bedroom homes in this part of the township. Homeowners occupy about 90% of the dwellings in the community while renters occupy the remainder. Roughly one third of homes in this part of North Glengarry were built pre-1960, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s.
