The good public transit system makes transit a viable option for many people thanks to plenty of nearby rapid transit stations on the Meadowvale Express and University Express, and around 20 nearby bus lines. This part of the city is also very car friendly. It is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 403, from any location in this part of the city, and parking is generally easy.

The closest grocery store in Central Erin Mills is usually only a short trip away. In addition, there is usually a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. This part of the city is quiet, as the streets are generally peaceful - although that is not the case closer to the airport (Toronto (Mississauga Credit Valley Hospital) Heliport), Highway 403 or the railway line. Finally, public green spaces, including Friendship Community Park and Mississauga Meadowvale Rotary Park, are especially well-spread out and there are over 100 of them close by for residents to relax in, which results in them being very easy to access from most locations in Central Erin Mills.

Housing

In Central Erin Mills, around 45% of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings are the main housing type in the rest of the housing stock.
