Transportation

Nassagaweya is an extremely convenient part of Milton for moving around by car. Accessing a parking spot is generally easy. Walking is not very practical for home buyers in Nassagaweya as very few daily needs can be met without a vehicle. This neighbourhood is also not very conducive to cycling because there are very few bike lanes, and the topography is not especially flat.

With respect to eating, a car is generally required in Nassagaweya to reach the nearest supermarket. There are also a few options for those who value nearby restaurants.

Character

Nassagaweya is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. Nassagaweya is quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to one of the railway lines or Highway 401. Parks are distributed sporadically, which results in them being sometimes difficult to get to from most locations within the neighbourhood. Still, there are approximately 20 public green spaces nearby for residents to visit, including Sherwood District Park and Robert Edmondson Conservation Area.

Housing

Homeowners occupy nearly 90% of the properties in the neighbourhood and the remainder are rented. The large percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this part of Milton is an important part of its character. About one third of properties in this part of the town were built between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. Although this neighbourhood is particularly good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
