The neighbourhood of Buttonville is part of the city of Markham, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is usually the favoured way to navigate Buttonville. It is especially convenient to park, and many houses for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 404. On the other hand, public transit users may experience limited choices in this part of Markham by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, it is convenient to reach a nearby rapid transit station, including Hwy 7 / East Beaver Creek, Hwy 7 / Montgomery and Hwy 7 / Woodbine with access to the Viva Purple, from the majority of homes in the neighbourhood. Homeowners benefit from about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Buttonville is reasonably bike-friendly.
