Central Frederick is a neighbourhood within Kitchener, Ontario, which is located in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

Central Frederick allows homeowners to move around using several alternative means of transportation. The public transit system in Central Frederick is fairly good. The nearest rapid transit station, including Queen Station, Kitchener City Hall Station and Borden Station on the ION Light Rail, is commonly a short walk away from the majority of houses in the neighbourhood. There are around 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Central Frederick is also a fairly pleasant part of Kitchener for pedestrians; many daily errands can be run without the need for a car, and there are also a good number of businesses nearby. This area is fairly amenable to cycling.

Services

It is a rather short distance to reach daycares and schools from anywhere in Central Frederick. As far as eating is concerned, it is very often possible for property owners in this part of the city to do groceries as pedestrians. Central Frederick has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Central Frederick is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour, however noise can be bothersome closer to Highway 85, Highway 85 Collector or the railway line. On the other hand, reaching green spaces, such as Springwood Park and Woodside National Historic Site, is very easy from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood since there are approximately 30 of them close by for residents to enjoy. Lastly, even though this neighbourhood is not known for its lively atmosphere, the vibe can still be quite energetic around its busier streets, and places to go out at night are well-distributed throughout the area.
