Transportation

Commuting by bicycle is easy in this neighbourhood. Stanley Park is also a fairly pleasant part of Kitchener for pedestrians; carrying out daily needs is convenient without the use of a vehicle. Cars are a great medium of transportation in this part of Kitchener. Most real estate listings are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 8, and it is easy to come across a place to park. However, travelling by public transit is at times difficult in Stanley Park. Nonetheless, there are around 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by.

The closest supermarket in Stanley Park is typically only a short trip away. Additionally, there is generally a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. It is also convenient to get to a number of clothing stores on foot. With respect to education, parents and their children will value that no matter where their house is situated in this part of the city, schools and daycares are close by.

Character

People who prefer a calm environment will enjoy Stanley Park. This part of Kitchener is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are generally peaceful - although there are still several louder areas, especially around Highway 8 or Highway 7. Finally, public green spaces, such as Stanley Park Conservation Area and Springmount Park, are very well-situated and there are over 50 of them close by for residents to unwind in, which makes it very easy to get to them.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about half of buildings in Stanley Park, and the rest of the properties are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. This part of the city is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around 60% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented.
