Situated within the Greater Kingston metropolitan area, Ravensview is a neighbourhood in Kingston, Ontario.
Transportation
Ravensview is particularly car friendly. It is very convenient to park. This neighbourhood is not very cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of slopes, and the bicycling network is quite bad. Traveling on foot is also not very practical for residents in Ravensview because carrying out daily needs is very challenging without a car.
Services
Ravensview does not have any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, families may find it very hard for their children to access daycares as pedestrians. Concerning food, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required to do groceries.
Character
People who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Ravensview. Ravensview is wonderful for those who like quiet areas, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Green spaces aren't well-situated, which makes them rather difficult to get to. Still, there are a few parks close by for residents to discover.
Housing
Nearly 95% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the rest are rented. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this area. This part of Kingston did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new buildings in Ravensview was spread throughout multiple decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
