Old University will attract people who want to live in a community that's walkable as it is rather suited to walking; many daily errands can be run without a vehicle. This neighbourhood is also bike-friendly. The favoured approach to get around in Old University is very often driving. It is a rather short car ride to the closest highway from anywhere in this part of Guelph, and it is very convenient to access a place to park. However, Old University is not especially transit friendly. Nonetheless, residents benefit from the Guelph Central with access to the Kitchener. Homeowners have access to around 20 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically very close by.
