Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Thornhill is a neighbourhood within Markham, Ontario.

Transportation

This part of Markham will appeal to house buyers that appreciate several modes of transportation. Thornhill has a fairly good transit system. In particular, the nearest rapid transit station, such as Yonge / Steeles, Yonge / Centre and Yonge / Royal Orchard with access to the Viva Blue, is typically around the corner from the majority of properties in the neighbourhood. Homeowners have access to about 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. This part of the city is also conducive to those who like to get around on foot; many common errands can be run without needing to use a car, and a variety of businesses are moderately close at hand. Thornhill is fairly amenable to biking.

Daycares and schools are very easy to get to as a pedestrian from most homes for sale in Thornhill.
