Transportation

Lake Vista is very car friendly. It is convenient to find a parking spot, and it is a rather short drive to the closest highway from any location in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, travelling by public transit is difficult in Lake Vista. Nevertheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this part of the town, despite the fact that carrying out daily needs is easy without a car. On the other hand, cycling is easy in Lake Vista.

Services

Home buyers in this neighbourhood will appreciate that a grocery store is always only a long stroll away. Furthermore, Lake Vista is a fairly good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. In terms of education, schools and daycares are straightforward to reach without the use of a vehicle from any location in this neighbourhood.

Character

Lake Vista is unique in that it has both vibrant and quiet areas, making it appealing to more people. Even though this part of Ajax is not known for its vibrancy, with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located relatively close by. At the same time, this neighbourhood is especially quiet, as the streets are usually very calm. Parks aren't well-spread out, which results in them being very difficult to reach from a lot of locations within Lake Vista. Despite that, there are approximately 20 public green spaces nearby for residents to visit.

Housing

In Lake Vista, about one quarter of dwellings are small apartment buildings, but single detached homes and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood whereas the rest are rented. Around one third of properties in this part of Ajax were built after the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
