The neighbourhood of Davisville is part of the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the medium of transportation, it is rather convenient to get around in Davisville. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of Toronto are located in places that are very convenient for pedestrians; most common errands can be run without a car, and a variety of businesses are fairly close at hand. The bicycle is a fairly good means of transportation in Davisville. This area has a very good transit network due to plenty of nearby rapid transit stations on the Line 1 (Yonge-University), and about 10 nearby bus lines. Driving is also a fairly good medium of transportation in Davisville as it is generally easy to access a place to park.

Services

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a very short walk away in this area. In addition, thanks to 150-odd restaurants and cafes in Davisville, there is almost always a spot to get a meal or a beverage just around the corner, for example along Mount Pleasant Road. A very good selection of clothing stores is also available within a short walking distance. With respect to education, schools and daycares are especially easy to get to on foot from anywhere in this neighbourhood.

Character

Davisville is a great neighbourhood for home buyers who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Finding things to do is easy in this part of the city. Even though there is a poor selection of entertainment venues, there are a very large number of people around most of the time, and with its approximately 10 bars, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located very close by. There is a good amount of greenery in this area as many tree-lined streets are around. There are over 50 parks close by for residents to discover, like Moore Park Ravine and Eglinton Park, and they are very well-situated, resulting in them being very easy to access from most locations within this part of Toronto.

Housing

In Davisville, many dwellings are large apartment buildings, whereas the rest are mainly single detached homes. Around one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
