However, commuting by transit can be sometimes difficult in Concord by reason of the low service level. Thankfully, residents are served by plenty of rapid transit stations on the Viva Orange and Line 1 (Yonge-University). House owners benefit from the Rutherford on the Barrie. The neighbourhood is linked by about 40 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. It is convenient to travel by bike in this area. With regards to eating, it is rarely an option for house buyers in this area to shop for their groceries by walking. Likewise, there is usually a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. It is also a rather short stroll to a good variety of clothing stores.

There are over 50 green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, like Cook Woodlot and Dufferin District Park, and they are very well-distributed, making it easy to access them. Lastly, this area remains relatively serene, as there are very few people out and about on the streets.

Housing

A majority of the housing growth in Concord has happened after the year 2000. In this area, about two thirds of dwellings are large apartment buildings, and the rest of the houses are mainly single detached homes. The split between renters and homeowners is about even. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes.
