Transportation

This part of Clarington is particularly car friendly. Parking is easy. On the other hand, public transit users may find very few options in this part of the municipality as a result of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not especially far-removed from most houses. It is challenging to commute by bicycle in Rural Clarington because the area is not particularly flat, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. Nonetheless, bicycling is more feasible in some pockets than others. Rural Clarington is also not very conducive to those who travel on foot since very few common errands can be run without a vehicle.

Getting to one of approximately 10 supermarkets without a vehicle is feasible for some, but not all, property owners in Rural Clarington. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this part of the municipality is an important part of its character.
