Situated within the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Brant is a neighbourhood in Burlington, Ontario.
Transportation
This neighbourhood will appeal to house buyers that appreciate a diversity of methods of transportation. Brant features a reasonably good public transit system. More specifically, there is the Burlington on the Lakeshore West. The neighbourhood is served by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Brant is also a fairly convenient part of Burlington for pedestrians; running common errands is convenient without needing a car, and many businesses are reasonably close by. The bicycle is a reasonably good method of transportation in Brant as there are a fair number of bike lanes, and it is an even ride to most destinations.
Services
Families will value the proximity to daycares and schools, which are within a short distance from most, if not all, houses for sale in Brant. In terms of eating, it is very often possible for property owners in Brant to do grocery shopping as pedestrians. Furthermore, there is typically a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. It is also convenient to access a variety of clothing stores as a pedestrian.
Character
No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Brant is a good option. Brant is reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, however some parts can be quite noisy, especially around Queen Elizabeth Way or the railway line. However, it is easy to reach parks from most locations within the neighbourhood since there are approximately 40 of them nearby for residents to enjoy. Finally, even though this neighbourhood is not known for its vibrancy, the vibe can still be quite dynamic around its busier streets, and with its a few bars, there are options for nighttime activities.
Housing
Roughly 45% of buildings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Brant, and the remaining houses are mainly small apartment buildings and single detached homes. Around 30% of properties in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of Burlington also has a good selection of housing sizes; homes range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. The population residing in this area is evenly split between renters and owners.
