Third Lake is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Third Lake is an extremely convenient part of Halifax for travelling by car. It is very easy to park. It is very difficult for people walking to navigate Third Lake as almost no common errands can be run without a car. Moving around by bicycle is also very hard in this community as there are a fair number of hills, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Services

This area does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long trip away. In terms of eating, it is very rarely possible for house buyers in Third Lake to travel to the nearest supermarket as pedestrians.

Character

Third Lake is a wonderful community to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. Third Lake is especially quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Parks aren't well-situated, resulting in them being very hard to access from numerous locations in this part of the municipality. Still, there are a few public green spaces close by for residents to discover.

Housing

The large percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Third Lake is an important part of its character.
