The neighbourhood of Sunnyside can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Property owners who want to live in a community that's walkable will welcome the reasonably pedestrian-friendly character of Sunnyside; meeting daily needs is easy without a vehicle. On the other hand, commuting by bicycle is sometimes difficult in this neighbourhood as bicycling is made strenuous by the often hilly topography, and there are a limited number of bike lanes. Driving is a great means of transportation in this part of the municipality. It is a short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in Sunnyside, and it is very easy to park. In contrast, the public transit service in this part of the municipality is not very frequent. Nevertheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most properties.

Services

Parents and their schoolchildren will value that wherever their property is located in Sunnyside, daycares and high schools are nearby. In contrast, this part of Halifax does not contain any primary schools. With regards to food, it is usually practical for property owners in this part of Halifax to shop for groceries without a vehicle.
