The neighbourhood of Ridgevale is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the municipality is especially car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and nearby highways are easy to drive to from any home in this area. On the other hand, the transit network in Ridgevale is not very accessible. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. It is challenging for pedestrians to move around in this neighbourhood because very few common errands can be run without a car. The bicycle is a rather poor mode of transportation in Ridgevale because there are few bike lanes, and there is a significant amount of slopes.
