The community of Port Dufferin is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured mode of transportation in this community is usually a car. Finding a place to park is generally easy. Biking is very hard in Port Dufferin because there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling network is quite bad. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not very convenient for property owners in this part of Halifax as running common errands is nearly impossible without the use of a car.
