Located within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Penhorn is a neighbourhood in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The preferred approach to move around in this part of the municipality is usually a car. The majority of houses for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway, and it is very convenient to find a parking spot. On the other hand, Penhorn is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Traveling as a pedestrian is not especially practical for residents in Penhorn because few day-to-day needs can be met without a car. This part of the municipality is also not especially bike-friendly since the bicycling network is not very comprehensive, and cyclists are faced with quite a few slopes.

Services

It is very often an option for house buyers in Penhorn to do grocery shopping as pedestrians. Furthermore, there is typically a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. It is also easy to get to a number of clothing stores without a vehicle. Regarding education, in Penhorn, families will almost always be able to reach primary schools and daycares by walking.
