Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Owls Head is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Owls Head is an extremely good part of Halifax for driving. It is very easy to come across a parking spot. It is very impractical for people walking to navigate this area because running common errands is practically impossible without a vehicle. Cycling is also challenging in Owls Head as the bicycling network is quite bad, and there are a good number of slopes.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Owls Head. Likewise, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long trip away. With respect to food, buying one's groceries very often necessitates the use of a car in this part of Halifax.

Character

The character of Owls Head is exemplified by its relaxed environment. Owls Head is very quiet, as the streets are usually very tranquil. Parks aren't well-situated, making them very hard to access.

Housing

In Owls Head, the overwhelming majority of buildings are single detached homes, but mobile homes are also present in the housing stock. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the units in Owls Head while the remainder are rented.
