Mount Royal is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Getting around by car is very convenient in Mount Royal. Finding a parking spot is easy, and the majority of homes for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway. However, Mount Royal is not an especially convenient part of Halifax for travelling by public transit. Thankfully, there are approximately 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. Getting around on foot in Mount Royal is not very popular, despite the fact that running common errands is convenient without the use of a car. On the other hand, this area is fairly conducive to cycling because the bicycling network is moderately comprehensive.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are convenient to get to on foot from most houses for sale in Mount Royal. However, there are only a limited number of high schools and therefore they can be a long walk away. In this area, the majority of buildings are large apartment buildings, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. Most homes in this part of the municipality were built after the year 2000, during its most significant construction boom. This neighbourhood also has quite a good variety of housing size options; there is a higher proportion of two bedroom homes in this neighbourhood.
