The bicycle is a rather poor means of transportation in Little Harbour as the area is not especially flat, and there are very few bike lanes. A majority of the houses for sale in this community are located in areas that are also not very suitable for those who travel on foot since carrying out daily needs is almost impossible without a car.

Services

Character

Little Harbour is a great community to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. Little Harbour is very quiet, as the streets tend to be especially peaceful. Reaching public green spaces in the community, such as Owls Head Provincial Park and Eastern Shore Islands Wilderness Area, is very hard since they aren't well-distributed. Still, there are a few parks nearby for residents to visit.

Housing

Little Harbour did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new dwellings in the community was spread throughout several decades in recent history. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this part of Halifax. Roughly 90% of the units in the community are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. This area offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
