Situated within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Ingramport is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in this part of the municipality. Parking is generally easy. It is very impractical for people travelling by foot to get around in this part of the municipality because running daily errands is nearly impossible without the use of a vehicle. On the other hand, Ingramport is very bicycling-friendly.

Services

This area does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, parents and their kids may find it very difficult to reach daycares by walking. With respect to eating, in all cases, a vehicle is required in this part of the municipality to access the nearest grocery store.

Character

Ingramport offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. Most locations within the community have good access to parks, such as St. Margaret's Bay Rail To Trails Park, since getting to the closest one from most houses is very easy and there are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in. This part of the municipality is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are tranquil.

Housing

In Ingramport, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest of the properties are mainly townhouses. The homes in this community are quite old, since about 40% of its buildings were built prior to the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s. This part of the municipality is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 85% of the dwellings in the community whereas the remainder are rented.
