The neighbourhood of Bedford Hills is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is very often the preferred way to get around in this part of Halifax. Most real estate listings are a short drive from the nearest highway, and it is straightforward to find a parking spot. However, Bedford Hills is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. Many of the homes for sale in this part of Halifax are located in areas that are not very suitable for people who like to travel on foot since very few common errands can be run without needing to use a vehicle. The bicycle is a rather poor method of transportation in Bedford Hills because bicycling is rendered difficult by the typically hilly topography, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive.
