Bayside

The community of Bayside is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in Bayside. Parking is easy. It is very challenging for pedestrians to move around in this community as running common errands is practically impossible without needing a vehicle. It is also very difficult to travel by bike in Bayside as there are a fair number of hills, and this part of Halifax has quite poor cycling infrastructure.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Bayside. Likewise, daycares are not abundant and therefore tend to require a very long trip to get to. In terms of eating, doing one's groceries usually demands the use of a vehicle in Bayside.

Character

Bayside offers a calm atmosphere. Bayside is very good for those who need quiet surroundings, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. It is rather challenging to access public green spaces from numerous locations in the community since they aren't well-situated. Still, there are a few parks nearby for residents to unwind in.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the overwhelming majority of dwellings in Bayside, but townhouses are also present in the housing stock.
