Part of the Greater Truro metropolitan area, Birch Hill is a neighbourhood within Colchester Subdivision C, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park. Traveling by foot is not very feasible for residents in this part of Colchester Subdivision C since almost no common errands can be run without the need to get in a vehicle. The bike is a rather limited method of transportation in Birch Hill as there are a fair number of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Birch Hill. Moreover, it can be very difficult to get to daycares on foot. As far as eating is concerned, house buyers in this area almost always need a car to do groceries.

Character

Birch Hill is a wonderful neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. Birch Hill is very quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.
