Central Bedford

The neighbourhood of Central Bedford is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the municipality is very car friendly. The majority of real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, and accessing a place to park is generally easy. In contrast, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the municipality are located in areas that are not particularly well-suited for people who like to get around by walking since running daily errands is at times challenging without a vehicle. The bike is a sometimes poor mode of transportation in Central Bedford since cyclists encounter quite a few hills, and there are few bike lanes.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are convenient to access as a pedestrian from any location in Central Bedford. In contrast, high schools are not very plentiful and thus tend to require an extended walk to get to.
