The community of Long Island can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great medium of transportation in this part of the municipality. It is very convenient to access a parking spot. Moving around by bicycle is very difficult in Long Island as there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave, and there are very few bike lanes. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of Cape Breton Municipality are located in areas that are also not very convenient for those who travel by foot as almost no daily needs can be carried out without a car.

Services
