The community of Alder Point is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great means of transportation in Alder Point. It is very convenient to find a parking spot. This area is not very well-suited for pedestrians as running day-to-day errands is very impractical without the use of a vehicle. Although there is a moderately high density of cyclists, Alder Point is also not especially bike-friendly since there are a good number of hills, and this community is home to quite bad bicycling infrastructure.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Alder Point. Moreover, there are only a very small number of daycares and thus they can be a very long stroll away. Regarding eating, it is very rarely an option for house buyers in this community to travel to the closest supermarket by walking.

Character

People who prefer a calm environment will enjoy Alder Point. Alder Point is wonderful for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
