Part of the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Bateston is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Travelling by car is very easy in Bateston. It is very convenient to park. Bateston is not very bicycling-friendly since there are very few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave. Many of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are also not very convenient for pedestrians as almost no common errands can be run without a car.

Services

Bateston does not contain any high schools or primary schools. In addition, there are only a very small number of daycares and therefore they can be a very long trip away. Concerning eating, shopping for one's groceries usually necessitates the use of a car in Bateston.

Bateston offers a calm ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This area is especially quiet, as the streets are generally especially tranquil.
