The neighbourhood of Kelsey Drive is part of the city of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, which is located in the Greater St. John's metropolitan area.

Transportation

Moving around by car is very convenient in Kelsey Drive. It is very easy to find a place to park, and nearby highways are very easy to reach from anywhere in this area. On the other hand, travelling by transit can be difficult in this part of St. John's as a result of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. This part of the city is not especially suitable for those who prefer to get around by walking as most daily needs are at times difficult to carry out without a vehicle. Kelsey Drive is also not especially cycling-friendly because cyclists are faced with a significant amount of elevation changes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Services

It is easy to access the nearest grocery store on foot in Kelsey Drive. A limited number of restaurants and cafes can be found as well. Likewise, it is convenient to get to a number of clothing stores as a pedestrian. On the other hand, Kelsey Drive does not have any primary schools or high schools.

Kelsey Drive is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. Most areas in Kelsey Drive are reasonably quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

In Kelsey Drive, most buildings are duplexes, while single detached homes make up most of the remaining housing stock. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This part of St. John's also has quite a good choice of housing size options - there is a higher proportion of three bedroom homes in this neighbourhood. Roughly 60% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 40% are occupied by renters.
