Downtown St. John's

The neighbourhood of Downtown St. John's is part of the city of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, which is situated in the Greater St. John's metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is very easy for people walking to navigate this part of St. John's; carrying out daily needs is easy without a car, and there are also a fair number of businesses in proximity. In contrast, Downtown St. John's is not especially conducive to biking because the cycling infrastructure is somewhat poor, and riding a bicycle is rendered strenuous by the typically sloping topography. Commuting by public transit is challenging in this neighbourhood. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close by. However, Downtown St. John's is rather car friendly. It is a very short car ride to the nearest highway from any home in this neighbourhood, and it is easy to find a parking spot.
