Thanks to about 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit access in Tyne-Tees is rather convenient. Walking is not very popular in Tyne-Tees, even though many day-to-day needs can be carried out without the need for a car. Despite the fact that there are a limited number of elevation changes, this part of the city is also not particularly appropriate for biking because the bicycling network is not very extensive.
